A2 0 SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2010 DAYTON DAIL NEWS LADD, Anna Alice McNeil Richardso 89, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, 13 September 2010 at 2:45 P.M. after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease which was diagnosed in 1997. Born on 27 October 1920 in Norman Park Georgia, the daughter of Bishop Major and Senior Mother Clifford McNeil both of whom preceded her in death. Anna was also preceded in death by brothers, Edward and Fred McNeil of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and sisters Mary Bladen and Ruth Lewis, also of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Husbands Mose J.

Richardson Sr. and Theodore H. Ladd. Shortly after WWII, Anna was employed in Yellow Springs as a housekeeper for the Rod Sterling, the creator of the popular science fiction TV program, Twilight Zone. While working for Mr.

Sterling she was befriended by the author Louise Baker and collaborated with her to write several children's books, most notable Snips and Snails which was required reading for many high school sophomores. During the early 50's she was the for Dr. Richard F. Kelly, MD. While working in that capacity she became one of Xenia's first Bail Bondsman and Notary Public.

During the 60's she was appointed as the first Meter Maid for the city of Xenia. Anna loved working in her yard and was instrumental in starting the yard of the month club for the city of Xenia, which she won several times. She loved to travel and spent several months living in the United Kingdom. When she returned she would often embark on cruises to the Caribbean during the winter months. She leaves to mourn her: brother, Bishop McNeil of Camden New Jersey; Sisters, Margaret Taylor, Leila Ford of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Superior Mother Evelyn Grady of Washington, D.

Geneva McCall of Camden New Jersey; three sons, Mose Richardson (Jackie), Stephen Richardson (Shirley) of Dayton Ohio and Abraham (Eva) Richardson of Port Orchard Washington. Grandchildren Tina Davis (Dorian) Mose Richardson III (Rita) Donald Ewing (Rosalyn) Michelle Gee (Adrian) Charles Ewing and Audi Richardson, all of Dayton Ohio, Deeann and Craig Richardson of Port Orchard Washington and Ivan Jackson of Easton Pennsylvania. Anna was also great grandmother to 8 girls and 4 boys. There will be no visitation or memorial service. She was born August 24, 1925 in Steuben County, Indiana to Clyde and Maude Letts. She attended Fremont School in Indiana. She married Walter Aberth at the Wedding Chapel in the Garden in Angola, IN.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 63 years and two daughters and son-in-laws, Pam and George Bell of Dayton and Patti and Jim of Ester, Alaska and a son Wally Aberth of Dayton. Also grandchildren and spouses, Melissa and Matt Franklin, Sarah Kovar, and one great-grandchild, Eden. Fisher-Edgington F.H., Wilmington CHURCH, Maranda C. age 23, of West Carrollton, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 after a short but well fought battle with cancer. She was born August 27, 1987 in Dayton, the daughter of Randall C. Church and Kimberly (Hardenbrook) Etienne. She was a 2009 graduate of Miami Jacobs College and was employed by Pizza Hut with 3 years of service.

Maranda is survived by her parents, her daughter Makayla, brothers Levi, E.T., Ryan, and Tyler, her sisters Samantha, Jessica and Leah, step-father Greg, step-mothers Judy Moore and Debbie grandfather Jerry Hardenbrook and wife Cynthia, special friend Kevin, numerous aunts, uncles, and many good friends. The family would like to thank all who came to see Maranda during her stay at Miami Valley Hospital and a special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses who were just amazing. Clarence was retired from the Plumbers' and Pipefitters' Local 162 after 67 years of service, and was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeannie Gibbs; brothers, Bobby, Seeburn Walter Gibbs. Clarence is survived by his wife, Marjorie daughters sons-in-law, Betty L. a life long resident of Dayton, Ohio died Monday September 13, 2010 after a long illness. She was a graduate of Julianne HS and graduated from Barry College in Miami Florida. Gerry was preceded in death by her husband John J. "Jack" Desch and her oldest son Chris Desch MD. She was an exceptional mother to six children.

22nd, St. Henry Catholic Church. St. Henry. (Hogenkamp) AYRES, William Bliss, MD age 94, passed away at his residence Saturday, September 18, 2010.

Dr. Ayres was a 50 year member of the American Medical Association; Ohio State and Montgomery County Medical Societies. He was a graduate of Northwestern Medical School and interned at Miami Valley Hospital in 1940. Dr. Ayres retired in 1984 from family practice in Dayton, OH.

He served in the U. S. Air Force in World War II with a tour of duty at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base's Flight Surgeon's Office with the 348th fighter group in the Southwest Pacific. Dr. Ayres was a flying enthusiast and pilot for more than 40 years and a member of the Flying Physicians Association as well as a FAA Medical Flight Examiner.

His warm smile and kind manner will be remembered by all. Dr Ayres was preceded in death by his wife, M. Dorothy; son, Richard L. Ayres; parents, Ernest and Florence Ayres and brother, Dr. R.W.

12, 2010 at Salina Hospital, Kansas with family by her side. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but she is finally free from her pain and suffering. Tammy is survived by her parents Robert Alexander (Treva) Mary Wray Alexander. Children: Christy (Ty) Grant and Michael Jennings. Sisters: Olenda Toler and Becky (Earl) McCandless.

BRITTON, Patricia (Morgan 66, of Hot Springs Village, AR died Sept. 13, 2010. She was born Dec. 30, 1943 to the late Lee Mildred Thomas. Survivors include her husband, John (Jack) Britton of Hot Springs Village; daughter, Sheryl (Morgan) Spicer and husband Michael of Urbana Ohio; Son, Douglas Morgan and wife Melissa of Miamisburg, Ohio; four grandchildren, Sarah Burroughs and husband Michael of Urbana, Ohio, Craig Dillon and wife Amber of Urbana, Ohio, Emily Morgan age 14, Olivia Morgan age 14 of Miamisburg, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Dalton age 11, Morgan age 10, Devon age 8 and Madison age 3, of Urbana, Ohio.

Pat attended the Village Bible church, in Hot Springs Village, AR and was a member of the lady Duffers golf league there. Early this year her interest was in her health and fitness, she attended stretch and tone classes at the local fitness center. She considered her short time in Hot Springs Village, AR the happiest time of her life. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. No local service is planned but memorials in her honor may be made to the American Cancer Society or any cancer research organization.

Tool of Dayton, OH and J.J. Enterprises of Venice, FL. He enjoyed being a pilot and flying his airplanes. She was born on May 5, 1916, and was recently living with her daughter in Alabama after residing in the Dayton area for 90 years. Mary Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Roy J. Fenelon.

She is survived by five children: James Fenelon of CA, Sue Ann Curd of FL, Mary Beth (Chris) Celebrezze of North Royalton, Paula (Paul) Dvorsky of AL, and Richard Fenelon of IN. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Survived by siblings Charles Brinkman, Jeannette Stragand, and Ruth Woolley, and preceded in death by her sister Margaret Thaler and brother Robert Brinkman. Mary Alice was a longtime member of St. Anthony and St.

Charles Borromeo Parishes. She was a graduate of Julienne High School, and attended Mt. St. Joseph's College for two years. She retired after a career as a secretary for local attorneys, UD, Mead and LM Berry.

She and Roy continually made personal sacrifices so their children had the opportunity for higher education. She enjoyed playing bridge and was an expert at all types of needlework. He was born in New York and was preceded in death by his father, Albert Kulfan. He is survived by his mother, Anna Kulfan; his loving wife, Kimberly (Cox) Kulfan; his sister Lynn (Anthony) Merendino; his brother Al Kulfan; and many dear family members and friends. BARNES, Shirley L. age 81 of Fairborn, passed away Friday September 17, 2010 in the Good Samaritan Hospital.

She was born January 30, 1929 in Braddock, PA, the daughter of the late Birger A. and Goldie C. (Newman) Lindstrom. Shirley was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was employed in Dr. Ken Sparling's office in Fairborn, retiring after 20 years of service.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oakwood for many years; and she volunteered with the Fisher House on Wright-Patterson AFB as well as many church ministries. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Warren S.

Barnes. She is survived by three children, Karen Barnes-Lewis and husband Samuel Lewis of Clayton, Lauren Cliff and husband Peter of Dayton, Keith Barnes and wife Traci of Clayton; four grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney, Lydia, Nicholas; dear friends, Charles and Jean Fada of Fairborn; as well as numerous other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday September 20, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Fairborn.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 21, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. in the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 33 W. Dixon Oakwood, Rev. Jack Koepke officiating.

Lauderdale, FL. At the time of his death, he was married to Florence (Lash), now deceased; he was formerly married to Jacquelyn (Gilmond) of Kettering. As a youth, Hutton was an accomplished tap dancer winning many local prizes. He graduated from Fairview high school in 1940. During WWII, Hutton attended Yale University as part of the ASTP Army Specialized Training Program.

As the war escalated, and this program phased out, Hutton became an Army news journalist; he attended War Crimes Trials in Manila and issued releases for worldwide news services. Upon returning from the war, Hutton attended Ohio State University Law School and later began his law career in Dayton with the law firm of Withrow, Hutton, and Withrow. Mr. Hutton's activities reflected his love of Dayton's special place in aviation history (Maurice Hutton, his father, was Aviation Editor of Dayton Journal in the 1920s). He had a passion for both the social and civic development of his community, especially the then new, fledgling town of Kettering.

Mr. Hutton was a long-time member of the Dayton Country Club and played an active role in many local organizations. These included, but are not limited to, American Businessman's Club, Dayton Jaycees, Dayton Junior Chamber of Commerce, Southern Hills Lions Club, Kettering Optimists, Kettering Kiwanis, and Kettering Holidays at Home. He was legal counsel to the Dayton Air Fair for several years and was president of Kettering Chamber of Commerce 1961-1962. He and his former wife, Jacquelyn, were active members of the Dayton Dan- ceros, a dance club of the 1960s and 1970s.

In addition, along with others, Mr. Hutton founded Big Hill Realty in 1968. Mr. Hutton is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Gary and Dee Dee Hutton of San Antonio, daughter Michele Nichols of Asheville, NC, grandson Christopher Anderson of St. Petersburg, FL, step-grandchildren Molly and John Schillinger and Timothy Thor all of Little Rock, AR, step-great grandchildren Grace and Kate Schillinger, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Clifford and Nan Gilmond of Wallingford, CT, nephew Kenneth Gilmond of Hamden, CT, nephew and niece Donald and Joanne Gilmond of Guilford, CT, nephew and niece Russell and Doris Gilmond of Boca Raton, FL, nephew and niece Dennis and Susan Sembenotti of Swansea, IL.

He was predeceased by his niece, Linda Sembenotti, niece Joanne Listro, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law William and Elaine Sembenotti BROWN, Frances C. Age 96, formerly of Jefferson died Sept. 18, 2010. She was born Nov. 5, 1913, to the late Frank and Della (Wiseman) Caylor.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Cecil W. Brown, and sisters Bernice Taylor, Doris Pummil Harvey, Rosalba Triplett; brother Robert Caylor; and son-in-law Gene Stebbins. She is survived by daughters Carol Sue (Bob) Kroah of Tallmadge and Linda (Ben) Suttman of Jackson Twp. Grandchildren: Ken (Julie) Kroah, Holly (Todd) Michael, Steve (Amy) Stebbins, Jim Kroah, Kara (Dominic) Cioffi and Susan (Mike) Krum. Great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Colleen and Matthew Kroah; Ryan, Justin and Morgan Michael; Kate and Maxwell Stebbins.

Frances was a 1931 graduate of Jefferson Twp. High School and of Miami-Jacobs School of Business and a long-time member of Salem Lutheran Church of Ellerton. Visitation at Gebhart-Schmidt- Parramore Funeral Home in Miamisburg will be Tues. Sept. 21 at 10 a.m.

followed by a service at 11 a.m.. Interment will be at Ellerton Cemetery. BUCK, Jane 88, Sabina died Fri. Sept. 17, 2010.

Service Littleton F.H., Sabina at 11 AM on Sept. 22nd LAWSON, Jimmy Leo Jimmy Leon Lawson, 66 of Huber Heights passed Sept. 16, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 4, 1943 in Sparta, TN to Alvin and Jimmie Lawson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Perry. He is survived by his wife Elsie whom he married Nov. 2, 1962, sons Richard and Terry (Lisa) Lawson, brothers and sisters: Laroy (Jonnie) Lawson, Janie (Tom) Benchic, Mary (Frank) Hornick, Frank (Patty) Lawson, Robert (Dawn) Herron, Tom Herron, grandchildren: Missy, Amanda, Gustava, Briggston, Ellis, and numerous nieces and nephews. Leon started many businesses and was very active with the city of Huber Heights. He retired from Leon's Towing in 1995.

He enjoyed woodworking and his greatest love was spending time with his family. Memorial services to be held Oct. 3, 2010 at 2pm at North Huber Heights Baptist Church by Pastor Marvin Engle.
