Three Small Fires. The fire department bad three runs late yesterday afternoon. About 4 o'clock an alarm from box 514 called the department to Mr. Heldorfer's residence, at 1107 South Brown street. There was a small fire in the stable, caused by some children setting fire to some loose paper.

Loss trifling. About half an hour later an alarm was sent in from box 63, caused by a blaze in the frame dwelling at 253 Baxter street, owned by C. II. Baldwin, and occupied by John Wells. Damage S10.

The cause was a spark from the cook stove falling among some kindling.
